Volunteer at the Library

The Perth & District Library Volunteer Program expands and enhances public service in the community. As a volunteer you’ll provide important support services to staff and/or work on special projects. You’ll learn more about the library and its place in the community and observe first-hand how the library serves community needs.

Activities are as varied as delivering books to homebound patrons, assisting with the seed lending library, advertising library events, shelf reading and lots of other fun possibilities.

As a volunteer applicant you’re asked to fill out an application form and meet with a supervisory staff member. You may also be asked to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

The Library is currently looking for volunteers for:

  • short-term projects

For this and all other volunteer roles, please fill out the form below. If we don’t have an open role for you at the moment, we will keep your application on file for six months if a volunteer role becomes available.
