Red Dress Day: Community Beading Workshop

Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, is observed every year on May 5, and throughout May. In honour of this day, a Community Beading workshop will be held at Perth and District Library on Friday, May 3, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Participants will learn how to bead a red dress pin that they can wear in support of and to spread awareness of Red Dress Day. Please note, the beaded pins take 2+ hours to complete.
This program is free and open to 14+. Materials are provided. Bring your own lunch. Bring reading glasses if needed!
Donations are welcome to help cover the cost of supplies.
