When you donate to the Library, you help us keep our programs and services strong and growing. You can make donations to the library at any time online or with cash or cheque at the library at 30 Herriott St, Perth, Ontario. We appreciate your generosity!

Supporting our Children’s Literacy Programs

Donations to our literacy programs allow us to hire and train high school and/or post-secondary students to tutor children in our Summer Literacy Program and OWLS Tutoring. Participating in our literacy programs is proven to improve children’s attitudes & confidence about reading. We help over 200 children each year! Our programs are funded entirely by grants & donations, making it impossible to run without the help of people like you!

You can donate via our website, in-person at the library at 30 Herriott St, or by making a contribution to our endowment fund, the Children’s Literacy Fund at the Perth and District Community Foundation.

Donations In-Memory or Special Honorariums

Remember loved ones or special moments by making a donation in their name. Simply select “Make this donation in honour or in memory of someone” and you can include their name, and notify other family members. 

Please contact us directly if you would like to designate a book or other specific resources to the library in their memory, including adding a dedication plaque.

Adopt a Book

Support the library’s collections by adopting a book! Donate funds to cover the cost of a new book for the library and be the first one to read your selection. It is $30 to adopt a book. You will receive a tax receipt and a book plate will be placed in your book in acknowledgment of your thoughtfulness. 

Sponsor a Book Club Set

Support the library’s collections by sponsoring a book club set! Donate funds to cover the cost of a new book club set for the library and be the first one to read your selection. You will receive a tax receipt and a book plate will be placed in the set in acknowledgment of your thoughtfulness. It is $300 to sponsor a book club set. A book club set includes 10 copies of the book, one eBook, and one bag.
