Meeting room rental

Whether you are scheduling a meeting with your colleagues, planning a community gathering, or need a place to work quietly, our meeting rooms have you covered!

We have five rooms in sizes ranging from a capacity of 3 people to 90. All our rooms are enabled with WiFi. Room amenities vary by room and can include: projector, white board, microphone, webcam and screen. See individual room details for what they include. You can book a room using our online booking tool. Rooms are kept locked and you will need to check in at the desk upon arrival for a key.

Meeting Rooms:

The Green Study Room is located on the first floor with space for up to 6 people. This space is bookable for a maximum of 5hrs/day at no cost. This room also has a “green screen” wall and can be used for filming.

The Friends of the Library Study Room is located on the second floor with space for up to 4 people. There is elevator access to the second floor. This space is bookable for a maximum of 5hrs/day at no cost. This room also has a screen, microphone, and webcam for virtual meetings. Does not include cords, a laptop or technical assistance.

The Blue Study Room is located on the first floor with space for up to 3 people. This space is bookable for a maximum of 5hrs/day at no cost. It can also be booked in conjunction with the Common Room for the Common Room fee, plus $5 per hour or portion thereof, or $55 per day (5 hours or longer). Please contact the library at 613-267-1224 if you would like to book both the Common Room and Blue Study Room together.

The Common Room is located on the first floor of the library. Typically used for groups of 15-20, this room can accommodate 30-70 persons (depending on setup; maximum 35 with chairs, 30 with chairs and tables, 70 standing room only). This space is bookable for a fee of $10 per hour or portion thereof, or $50 per day (5 hours or longer). This room also has a projector and screen. A whiteboard is available on request. Does not include cords, a laptop or technical assistance.

The Marguerite Frizell Room is located on the second floor of the library. Typically used for groups of 30-40, this room can accommodate 40-90 persons (depending on setup; maximum 45 with chairs, 40 with chairs and tables, 90 standing room only). There is elevator access to the second floor. This space is bookable for a fee of $45 for up to 3 hours, $10 for each additional hour. In the months of July and August, this room is reserved for the Summer Literacy Program. A projector and whiteboard is available on request. There is no screen, but it is possible to project onto the wall. Does not include cords, a laptop or technical assistance.

 

Fine print:

  • In order to allow everyone access to our study rooms, there is a maximum of 5 hours total per day, please.
  • Study room “no-shows”: the library reserves the right to cancel the booking if the renter has not arrived to use the study room after the first 30 minutes of the booking. This is so that another person may use the space.
  • Rentals must be during library opening hours, and renters are requested to end their programs at least 15 minutes before the library closes so as to complete cleanup by closing time. If you need additional set up or take down time, please include this in your booking.
  • Rental fees are due prior to the booking, and may be paid by cash, cheque or card at the library.
  • The person signing for the room on behalf of the organization accepts responsibility for the property and the deportment of the group renting the room.
  • The library is in no way responsible for any injuries sustained during the use of the room.
  • The library is a smoke-free building and the consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted.
  • Room setup must accommodate accessibility needs and access to fire exits.
